  ARITHMETIC SEQUENCE AND SERIES
Is there a better way?

What is n for the arithmetic series 7 + 8 + 9 + … + 300? Think, n would be 300 if we started with the number 1. But we are missing the first 6 numbers of this arithmetic series. Thus, n = 300 – the first 6 numbers (terms).

Conclusion: n = 300 – 6 = 294
