 AIRCRAFT ENGINES - ENGINE MOUNTS

Jet aircraft normally have two, three or four engines. The engines can be mounted in a number of locations - under the wings, on the sides of the rear fuselage (tail), or in the base of the vertical stabilizer.

When moving around aircraft, it is important to be aware of dangerous areas that result from the power of propellers and jet engines. The following page offers a brief safety overview of these dangerous areas.
