 INTRODUCTION TO AERODYNAMICS

Aerodynamics is the science that studies the motion of gaseous fluid flows, their actions against and around bodies, and of the forces acting on bodies within that flow.

Since aerodynamics can apply to motion of gaseous fluid flows around bodies, the “bodies” can be such things as birds, aircraft, automobiles, boats, and bikes, to name a few.

In this module we will only be discussing aircraft as the bodies and air as the gaseous fluid to limit the discussions of basic aerodynamics to an hour.
