REVIEW OF AERODYNAMIC TERMS - WINGS

The wings of the aircraft can also be referred to as airfoils and are surfaces designed to allow the aircraft to fly. The airflow around a wing helps create lift, which is what allows the aircraft to overcome the forces of gravity pulling it toward the earth.

Wings come in many different sizes and shapes. Wings are also mounted to the aircraft in different positions on the fuselage (body of the aircraft).
