THE
SCIENCE BEHIND FLIGHT - THE TAKEOFF PHASE OF FLIGHT |
|
How does Newton’s Third Law of
Motion affect air movement over and under the wing related to lift?
Remember the air moving across the top of the curved wing is moving
faster than the air across the bottom of the wing. The air moving
across the top leaves the wing’s trailing edge (back edge of
wing which is pointed slightly down) and “pushes” the
air down. |
