| Did you ever wonder why skiers
use the phrase ski slopes? A definition of slope is the change in the
vertical distance (rise) divided by the change in the horizontal distance
(run). If you are a beginner skier and you are being pulled up by the
rope tow to the top of the ski slope, the slope is positive. |
