 WINGS AND CONTROL SURFACES - EMPENNAGE

The tail section of an aircraft is referred to as the empennage. The empennage contains the horizontal stabilizers, the elevators (not the type of elevator that you go up and down in), the vertical stabilizer(s), the rudder, and trim tabs.
