THE
SCIENCE BEHIND FLIGHT - FLIGHT MANEUVERING |
|
An aircraft can turn, climb or descend
by pilot inputs, which move control surfaces using the basic science
of aerodynamics already discussed.
The pilot can turn the nose by moving the tail of the aircraft left
or right, called “yaw”, or moving the wings up or down,
called “roll”. The pilot can also make the aircraft climb
or descend by raising or lowering the nose of the aircraft, called
“pitch”. |
