BLINDERS |
|
This next type of problem usually
appears in a communication book under the topic of blinders.
There are a number of versions of it. Here is one version.
Two cyclists
10 miles apart are pedaling towards each other at a constant
rate of 5 miles per hour.
There is a bee on one of the handlebars that
continuously flies back and forth from the handlebars of one bicycle
to the handlebars of the other bicycle at a rate of 20 miles per hour
until the cyclists pass each other. At that moment when the cyclists
pass each other, how far did the bee fly? |
