 SERIES CIRCUITS - VOLTAGE

Since the value of the resistors is known to be 5 ohms each, and the current through the resistors is known to be 2 amperes, the voltage drops across the resistors can now be calculated.

The equation, which designates E1 as the first voltage drop, shows us that R1 drops 10 volts.
