MEASURING DEVICES - THE MULTIMETER |
|
Probably the most widely used piece
of equipment in electronics, the multimeter is a single meter that
combines the functions of the ammeter, the voltmeter, and the ohmmeter.
It is more convenient to have one meter with several functions than
several meters each with a single function.
The various functions of a multimeter are selected by use of the appropriate
function switch positions, jacks, and meter scales. Once a function
is selected, the meter operation is exactly identical to that previously
described for that particular type of meter. |
