THRUST
EQUATION |
|
Thrust is the propulsive force of jet and rocket engines.
It is the sum of two different types of thrusts--momentum thrust and
pressure thrust.
For a rocket engine, momentum thrust is the increase in momentum of
mass exiting the engine.
The pressure thrust is a function of the pressure at the exit planes
of the engine.
