ROCKET ENGINE COMPONENTS

A chemical rocket engine is also an engine that uses chemicals for its propellant. These chemicals can be either liquid or solid.

A chemical rocket engine mixes fuel and oxidizer, like the car engine and jet engine, and delivers thrust out the exit like a jet engine.

Unlike the car and jet engines, a rocket engine has both fuel and oxidizer stored internally.

Together, the fuel and oxidizer are called the rocket propellant.
