THE CIRCUITS - THE "IDEAL” CURRENT SOURCE

An ideal current source is a circuit which maintains a prescribed current through its terminals regardless of the voltage across those terminals.

Real current sources can be represented as ideal current sources in parallel with a resistance r.

The Current (Is) is fixed, and does not change e.g. 1A, 5A or 100mA.
