The first of our 5 topics, "Definitions and History", deals with the
accepted technical definitions of the types of facilities you’ll encounter.
We’ll also explore the history behind their design and evolution.

their roots back over 100 years as an outgrowth of hospital work to
control infections. You’ll see how this early work led to the first
industrial applications of Cleanroom technology during the Second World
War, and continues to evolve to this day.
