PARTICULATE CONTAMINANTS: MODULE OBJECTIVES

In this segment, we’ll introduce the key learning point of just what an airborne particulate contaminant is, and describe relative sizes of some of these contaminant particles. Measured in microns, contaminants range in size from those discernable to the naked eye (roughly 20 microns), to those measuring much less than a fraction of that size.

A single grain of sand will measure roughly 60 to 1,000 microns.
