The Control and Design Standards segment looks at the primary elements of contamination control, and defines two of the most critical factors concerning Cleanroom operations: Air Cleanliness Classes and Surface Cleanliness Levels.

The material presented in this topic will also allow you to distinguish between particulate matter and non-volatile residue (NVR), and to compare the physical characteristics of the various types of Cleanrooms you may encounter during your career.
