CONTROL & DESIGN STANDARDS: AIRBORNE CONTAMINANTS

Although the 209E is the newest version of the Federal Standard, the older 209D is still internationally used and commonly referenced. With the current trend to adapt international standards, an increasing number of U.S. facilities use them. An example is the current construction of the International Space Station. Led by the United States, and with some 16 nations actively involved in the project, international standards are a necessity.
