CONTROL & DESIGN STANDARDS: AIRFLOW

For Class 1,000 areas and higher, more flexibility in design is allowed. What matters is not what particular design technique is used, but whether it can assure a high quality product when the job is done. Even a Class 10,000 cleanroom may meet a particle counter test for a Class 1,000 room if the door is closed long enough. Often, simply clustering HEPA filters over the equipment or workbench is sufficient for these less demanding cleanliness ranges.
