PROPER
ENTRY PROCEDURES: SAFETY |
|
(3) Boot Hazard: Cleanroom boots are made to go over your shoes, so
they have a larger footprint than you’re ordinarily used to. The bootstraps
that surround your instep and Achilles heel area fasten the boot to
the foot, but only loosely.
The free hanging ends of these straps are
several inches long, and just like an untied shoelace, can easily trip
you up. Use the snaps
provided to prevent this.
Also, the soles are made of polyurethane and
somewhat slippery, so be sure to fasten your footwear as tightly as
possible.
